Robin Laplace Lehovitis

This breath of work explores different genres in artistic expression.  I use imagination, experimentation, observation, and the experience of my reality to bring voice to the value of Art for Art's Sake.
My objective is to find ways to represent Art's intrinsic nature independent of its definitions, values, purposes and reasons.

I graduated from Sarah Lawrence College with a Major in Film and a Minor in Fine Arts. I attended Interlochen Center for the Arts in Michigan, the CE painting program at New York University and took auxiliary courses at The School of Visual Arts in NYC and The D'Amico Art Institute in Amagansett, NY. I received my Masters in Early Childhood Education from Southampton College/Long Island University, and specialized in art education.
I taught art and general education classrooms from K-12th grade for 26 years in  East Hampton, NY.

I would like to thank my family, friends, teachers, tutors, mentors, students and co-workers for their support and faith in my efforts to be an artist.  I would like to think my work signifies Art in a unique way. I am grateful for the privilege to be able to practice its aesthetics and honor its value in its own right.

It is my hope that you find my work engaging, interactive and informative.
